Politics: Jimmy Carter Says He Would Pick Trump over Ted Cruz

On Thursday, the Associated Press reported that former President Jimmy Carter said that if given the choice, he would pick Donald Trump over Ted Cruz 97%.
The reason? Trump, in Carter's view, is "malleable" and has no set of core beliefs. "I don't think he has any fixed opinions that he would really go to the White house and fight for," he said while addressing Britain's House of Lords. For those who may not know the meaning of the word, Merriam-Webster defines it as:
Full Definition of malleable
1: capable of being extended or shaped by beating with a hammer or by the pressure of rollers
2a : capable of being altered or controlled by outside forces or influencesb : having a capacity for adaptive change
Was he throwing shade at Cruz or in a back-handed way at Trump? Both candidates responded in their own way. Ted Cruz made a commercial about it.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump seemed to be pleased with the "Endorsement" from former President Jimmy Carter.
Will this nod from Carter help or hurt Trump? Only time will tell. This has not been the usual political season thus far, so expect anything and everything in the coming months. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
