  • by: Alan Duke

Saudi Prince Bandar, who served for many years as Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States, had financial ties to terrorists who carried out the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington, according to previously secret pages of the congressional probe of the 9-11 attacks.

"While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support and assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government."

The 28 pages, sent to the Obama Administarion Friday by Congress, have been sealed for more than a decade because of the possible impact they could have on U.S.-Saudi relations. Bandar was close to both President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush.
